Active Distribution Network Fault Location Based on Petri Nets and Improved Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm

open access: yes
To address issues such as inadequate fault tolerance, long computation time, and limited universality in fault location for active distribution networks, this paper proposes a fault location method that combines Petri nets with an improved particle swarm

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Investigation of superconducting fault current limiter application in a power-dense marine electrical network [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Power-dense, low-voltage marine electrical systems have the potential for extremely high fault currents. Limitation of fault currents is very attractive in a marine vessel, particularly in terms of switchgear cost, size, and weight, and reducing damage ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Fault Location on Three-Terminal Transmission Lines Without Utilizing Line Parameters

open access: yesElectricity
Transmission lines are constantly exposed to changes in climatic conditions and aging which affect the parameters and change the characteristics of the three-terminal circuit over time.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Tectonic Landform and Lithologic Age Impact Uncertainties in Fault Displacement Hazard Models

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
Tectonic landforms and surficial lithologic age are essential data for producing quality late Quaternary fault maps and predicting coseismic fault rupture location before an earthquake.
