Research on fault time prediction method for high speed rail BTM unit based on multi method interactive validation

open access: yesHigh-Speed Railway
The Balise Transmission Module (BTM) unit of the on-board train control system is a crucial component. Due to its unique installation position and complex environment, this unit has a higher fault rate within the on-board train control system. To conduct

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

EFFECTIVENESS OF FAULT PREDICTION

open access: yes, 2018
The research community in software engineering is trying to find a way on how to achieve the goal of having a fault-free software. The industry that will use a near fault-free software will have it easier to lower the costs of maintenance and the versions of delivered software will be more qualitative.

Fault prediction in distributed systems gone wild

open access: yesProceedings of the 4th International Workshop on Large Scale Distributed Systems and Middleware, 2010
We consider the problem of predicting faults in deployed, large-scale distributed systems that are heterogeneous and federated. Motivated by the importance of ensuring reliability of the services these systems provide, we argue that the key step in making these systems reliable is the need to automatically predict faults. For example, doing so is vital

Pathogenic Neurofibromatosis type 1 gene variants in tumors of non‐NF1 patients and role of R1276

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Somatic variants of the neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) gene occur across neoplasms without clinical manifestation of the disease NF1. We identified emerging somatic pathogenic NF1 variants and hotspots, for example, at the arginine finger 1276. Those missense variants provide fundamental information about neurofibromin's role in cancer.

TMC4 localizes to multiple taste cell types in the mouse taste papillae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Transmembrane channel‐like 4 (TMC4), a voltage‐dependent chloride channel, plays a critical role in amiloride‐insensitive salty taste transduction. TMC4 is broadly expressed in all mature taste cell types, suggesting a possible involvement of multiple cell types in this pathway.

Evaluation of in vitro toxicity of common phytochemicals included in weight loss supplements using 1H NMR spectroscopy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We investigated the toxicity of 12 active compounds commonly found in herbal weight loss supplements (WLS) using human liver and colon cell models. Epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate was the only compound showing significant toxicity. Metabolic profiling revealed protein degradation, disrupted energy and lipid metabolism suggesting that the inclusion of EGCG ...

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

Software mining and fault prediction

open access: yesWIREs Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, 2012
AbstractMining software repositories (MSRs) such as source control repositories, bug repositories, deployment logs, and code repositories provide useful patterns for practitioners. Instead of using these repositories as record‐keeping ones, we need to transform them into active repositories that can guide the decision processes inside the company.
