A minimal physiologically‐based pharmacokinetic modeling platform to predict intratumor exposure and receptor occupancy of an anti‐LAG‐3 monoclonal antibody

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 460-473, March 2025.
Abstract In oncology drug development, measuring drug concentrations at the tumor site and at the targeted receptor remains an ongoing challenge. Positron emission tomography (PET)‐imaging is a promising noninvasive method to quantify intratumor exposure of a radiolabeled drug (biodistribution data) and target saturation by treatment doses in vivo ...

Engineering FcRn binding kinetics dramatically extends antibody serum half-life and enhances therapeutic potential

open access: yesJournal of Biological Engineering
Background Optimizing the IgG Fc domain for neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) binding is crucial for enhancing antibody pharmacokinetics. The prolonged serum half-life of IgG antibody is governed by its pH-dependent interaction with FcRn, enabling efficient ...

Nanobody–chlorin e6 conjugate for Nectin‐4‐mediated tumor targeting and enhanced photodynamic therapy

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Nectin‐4 is frequently overexpressed in solid tumors, yet many PDT photosensitizers show poor water solubility and nonspecific uptake. A Nectin‐4‐targeted nanobody–chlorin e6 conjugate (NPC) improves aqueous solubility and selectively accumulates in Nectin‐4‐positive tumor cells.

Novel approaches for drug development against chronic primary pain: A systematic review

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Chronic primary pain (CPP) persisting for more than 3 months, associated with significant emotional distress without any known underlying cause, is an unmet medical need. Traditional or adjuvant analgesics do not provide satisfactory pain relief for a great proportion of these patients.

Artificial lipidation of proteins and peptides: from mechanism to clinical applications

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Artificial lipidation transforms protein and peptide therapeutics by attaching fatty acid chains through reversible or permanent chemical strategies. This biomimetic approach delivers four key therapeutic advantages: extended circulation times (enabling weekly instead of daily dosing), alternative administration routes including oral delivery, precise ...

The neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) is a pan-arterivirus receptor

open access: yesNature Communications
Arteriviruses infect a variety of mammalian hosts, but the receptors used by these viruses to enter cells are poorly understood. We identified the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) as an important pro-viral host factor via comparative genome-wide CRISPR ...

Differential trafficking of albumin and IgG facilitated by the neonatal Fc receptor in podocytes in vitro and in vivo.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2019
Proteinuria is strongly associated with kidney disease progression but the mechanisms underlying podocyte handling of serum proteins such as albumin and IgG remain to be elucidated.

Localization of neonatal Fc receptor for IgG in aggregated lymphoid nodules area in abomasum of Bactrian camels (Camelus bactrianus) of different ages

open access: yesBMC Veterinary Research, 2016
Background The neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) plays a crucial role in transporting IgG and associated antigens across polarized epithelial barriers in mucosal immunity. However, it was not clear that FcRn expression in aggregated lymphoid nodules area (ALNA)

Safety, Efficacy and Treatment Patterns of rIX‐FP in Previously Untreated Paediatric Haemophilia B Patients: A Retrospective Chart Review in Japan

open access: yesHaemophilia, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Limited real‐world data exist on recombinant fusion protein‐linking coagulation factor IX (FIX) with albumin (rIX‐FP) in paediatric previously untreated patients (PUPs) with haemophilia B, particularly in infants. Aims To evaluate the treatment patterns, safety and efficacy of rIX‐FP in paediatric PUPs in Japan.
