Study on Single-Loop FCS-MPC for DC-Based DFIG System

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
Doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) system suffers from complex control structure, slow dynamic response speed and cumbersome parameter design due to its traditional cascaded dual-loop control strategy. A single-loop finite control set model predictive control (SLMPC) is proposed in the paper for DC-based DFIG in DC grid, which simplifies its control

Combination of Backstepping and Reduced Indirect FCS-MPC for Modular Multilevel Converters

open access: yesIECON 2021 – 47th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2021
In this paper, backstepping is applied as a first step of modulation control in the abc reference frame for modular multilevel converters (MMCs). In the second step, reduced indirect FCS-MPC is applied where the number of inserted modules are allowed to change by maximum one from the rounded result of the continuous outcome from backstepping.
