On a classification of stationary points in nonlinear programming [PDF]
summary:In the paper the definition of the regular stationary point (M. Altman) is extended to be embracing all the points to which the method of feasible directions can converge if used without respect to the regularity ...

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Is a common currency area feasible for East Asia? A multivariate structural VAR approach [PDF]
In this paper the feasibility of forming a common currency area in East Asia is investigated. A three-variable SVAR model is employed to identify three types of shocks, i.e. global, regional, and domestic shocks.

Computational behavior of a feasible direction method for linear programming [PDF]
We discuss a finite method of feasible directions for linear programs. The method begins with a BFS (basic feasible solution) and constructs a profitable direction by combining the updated columns of several nonbasic variables eligible to enter.

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Optimality Conditions for Approximate Solutions in Multiobjective Optimization Problems
We study first- and second-order necessary and sufficient optimality conditions for approximate (weakly, properly) efficient solutions of multiobjective optimization problems. Here, tangent cone, -normal cone, cones of feasible directions, second-order
