Graph Fusion for Finger Multimodal Biometrics

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In terms of biometrics, a human finger itself is with trimodal traits including fingerprint, finger-vein, and finger-knuckle-print, which provides convenience and practicality for finger trimodal fusion recognition.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Urban object detection algorithm based on feature enhancement and progressive dynamic aggregation strategy

open access: yesGeocarto International
Traditional target detection models face challenges in recognizing urban high-altitude remote sensing targets due to complex background noise and significant variations in target scale.

Machinery Fault Diagnosis Based on Feature Level Fuzzy Integral Data Fusion Techniques

open access: yes, 2006
Fuzzy methods for machinery fault diagnosis are able to classify fault patterns in a non-dichotomous way thereby imitating the way humans process vague information.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

MFEFNet: A Multi-Scale Feature Information Extraction and Fusion Network for Multi-Scale Object Detection in UAV Aerial Images

open access: yesDrones
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are now widely used in many fields. Due to the randomness of UAV flight height and shooting angle, UAV images usually have the following characteristics: many small objects, large changes in object scale, and complex ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Probabilistic Fusion of Gait Features for Biometric Verification

open access: yes, 2005
This paper examines the fusion of various gait metrics in a probabilistic framework. Using three gait modalities we describe a process for determining probabilistic match scores using intra and inter-class variance models together with Bayes rule.
