Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) accounts for half of the heart failure cases. It is characterised by microvascular dysfunction, associated with reduced pericyte coverage and diminished STAT3 expression in pericytes. Loss of STAT3 impairs pericyte adhesion, promotes senescence, and activates a pro‐fibrotic gene program.

Feature-based Image Matching for Identifying Individual Kākā [PDF]
This report investigates an unsupervised, feature-based image matching pipeline for the novel application of identifying individual k\=ak\=a. Applied with a similarity network for clustering, this addresses a weakness of current supervised approaches to identifying individual birds which struggle to handle the introduction of new individuals to the ...

Cluster-Wise Ratio Tests for Fast Camera Localization
Feature point matching for camera localization suffers from scalability problems. Even when feature descriptors associated with 3D scene points are locally unique, as coverage grows, similar or repeated features become increasingly common.

Urine is a rich source of biomarkers for cancer detection. Tumor‐derived material is released into the bloodstream and transported to the urine. Urine can easily be collected from individuals, allowing non‐invasive cancer detection. This review discusses the rationale behind urine‐based cancer detection and its potential for cancer diagnostics ...

Pentagon-Match (PMatch): Identification of View-Invariant Planar Feature for Local Feature Matching-Based Homography Estimation [PDF]
In computer vision, finding correct point correspondence among images plays an important role in many applications, such as image stitching, image retrieval, visual localization, etc. Most of the research works focus on the matching of local feature before a sampling method is employed, such as RANSAC, to verify initial matching results via repeated ...

Feature matching using guidance‐constraint method
Image distortions and repetitive patterns widely exist in real images, which results in that feature matching is still a challenging problem though great progress has been made recently.

Matching Multi-Source Optical Satellite Imagery Exploiting a Multi-Stage Approach
Geometric distortions and intensity differences always exist in multi-source optical satellite imagery, seriously reducing the similarity between images, making it difficult to obtain adequate, accurate, stable, and well-distributed matches for image ...

Object Edge Contour Localisation Based on HexBinary Feature Matching [PDF]
This paper addresses the issue of localising object edge contours in cluttered backgrounds to support robotics tasks such as grasping and manipulation and also to improve the potential perceptual capabilities of robot vision systems.

EFANet: Exchangeable Feature Alignment Network for Arbitrary Style Transfer
Style transfer has been an important topic both in computer vision and graphics. Since the seminal work of Gatys et al. first demonstrates the power of stylization through optimization in the deep feature space, quite a few approaches have achieved real ...
