Fed-Batch Culture Development Based on Biomass Monitoring
1998The glucose concentration in the growth medium influences specific glucose consumption rate; however, a glucose limitation well below 1.1 mM is needed to modify the specific growth rate or the lactate production rate; the limitation of lactate production could be interesting to facilitate scaling up of the production, as far as pH control is concerned.

Fed-Batch CHO Cell Culture for Lab-Scale Antibody Production
2017Fed-batch culture is the most commonly used upstream process in industry today for recombinant monoclonal antibody production using Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells. Developing and optimizing this process in the lab is crucial for establishing process knowledge, which enables rapid and predictable tech-transfer to manufacturing scale. In this chapter,

[Preparation of fed-batch culture of Nocardioides sp].
Prikladnaia biokhimiia i mikrobiologiia, 2003A screening for carbon sources revealed ethanol to be the best substrate for condensed Nocardioides sp. culture. A strategy achieving the maximum (21 g/l) yield of biomass was developed for the control over the condensed fed-batch culture production. This control based on the algorithm ExpoDense should be predetermined in the first phase and adaptive ...

Optimization of Fed-Batch Mammalian Cell Culture Processes
1994Fed-batch cultures of hybridoma cells in a serum free medium were carried out in a computer controlled bioreactor. Oxygen uptake rate (OUR) and base addition for controlling pH were employed to calculate key physiologically related variables. Using established stoichiometric relationships between measured variables and the physiological demand we were ...
