Association between Serum Ferritin Levels and Diabetes Mellitus in a Korean Population
Several studies have suggested that increased iron storage may promote the development of diabetes mellitus (DM). This study examined the association between the serum ferritin levels and DM in a Korean population. The study population consisted of 8,991

SpyCatcher‐mi3 nanoparticles displaying RBD‐SD1 from MERS‐CoV, NL140422, and HKU4 elicited robust and cross‐reactive IgG responses in mice. Only MERS‐CoV RBD‐SD1 induced neutralizing antibodies against MERS‐CoV and protected human DPP4 mice from a MERS‐CoV challenge, indicating conserved serologic but limited cross‐neutralizing epitopes.

Serum Ferritin as a Predictor of Hospital Mortality in Critically Ill COVID-19 Patients
Serum ferritin levels increase in severe COVID-19 patients. However, few data correlating the sensitivity and specificity of ferritin levels and mortality prediction in COVID-19 exist. The current study aims to investigate the sensitivity and specificity

The synthesized CCzymes possess both antioxidant enzyme activity and pharmacological properties inherent to Coptis chinensis. By their antioxidant enzyme activity, CCzymes can attenuate oxidative stress within the inflammatory region of ulcerative colitis (UC), while their pharmacological activity acts on macrophage polarization and the intestinal ...

Multifunctional nano‐networks (NNWs) are prepared via reaction‐induced self‐assembly (RISA) of spermidine (SPD), epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), 2‐formylphenylboronic acid (2‐FPBA), and deferoxamine (DFO) through dynamic iminoboronate bonds. These NNWs leverage the oxidative AKI microenvironment to trigger disintegration, enabling site‐specific ...

Ferritin-Templated Quantum-Dots for Quantum Logic Gates [PDF]
Quantum logic gates (QLGs) or other logic systems are based on quantum-dots (QD) with a stringent requirement of size uniformity. The QD are widely known building units for QLGs. The size control of QD is a critical issue in quantum-dot fabrication.
