Enhancement of dielectric and ferroelectric properties in ferroelectric superlattices

Solid State Communications, 2010
Abstract I studied theoretically the enhancement of remanent polarization and dielectric permittivity of interfacial-coupled ferroelectric superlattices based on the Landau–Ginzburg theory. Our model adopts the Landau–Khalatnikov equation to describe hysteresis behavior and takes the time-dependent space-charge-limited conductivity into account to ...

Ferroelectric and nonlinear optical properties of ferroelectric-superionic KTP

Ferroelectrics, 1993
Abstract Pyroelectric and nonlinear optical properties of KTP crystals are discussed. The SHG, optical and pyroelectric characteristics of multidomain crystals before and after poling are described and compared to single domain crystals.

Ferroelectric and dielectric properties of ferrite-ferroelectric ceramic composites

Journal of Applied Physics, 2013
Particulate composites of ferrite and ferroelectric phases with xNiFe2O4 (NF) and (1 − x)Pb0.988(Zr0.52Ti0.48)0.976Nb0.024O3 (where x = 2, 10, 20, 30, 50, 70, and 100 wt. %) were prepared in situ by sol-gel method. The presence of a diphase composition was confirmed by X-ray diffraction while the microstructure of the composites was studied by scanning

Adjustable ferroelectric properties in paraelectric/ferroelectric/paraelectric trilayers

Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 2008
A trilayer paraelectric/ferroelectric/paraelectric system is studied within the framework of the Ginzburg–Landau–Devonshire theory in consideration of the elastic interactions between each layer. An analytic expression of the ferroelectric phase transition temperature for the ferroelectric layer is derived.

Dielectric and ferroelectric properties of Nd3Fe5O12

Solid State Communications, 2020
Abstract Multiferroics have attracted research interest for decades due to their potential applications. Multiferroics are relatively scarce due to the mutual exclusivity between magnetic and ferroelectric properties. New room-temperature multiferroics are looking forward to be exploited. Room-temperature multiferroic properties have been observed in

Optical properties induced and ferroelectric properties enhanced of the PMN-32PT:Ho relaxor ferroelectric crystals

Optik, 2018
Abstract Relaxor ferroelectric crystals PMN-32PT:Ho were prepared by using the flux method. Phase structure and surface morphology of the crystals were performed by using the X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM), respectively.

A COMPUTER MODEL OF THE FERROELECTRIC PROPERTIES OF MICROTUBULES

International Journal of Modern Physics B, 2004
The tubulin dimers of microtubules are arranged in a crystalline lattice which is wrapped to form a long cylinder. Two different arrangements of monomers within the lattice have been postulated: the A-lattice and the B-lattice. Previous studies have assumed that both lattice types are hexagonal with each dimer surrounded by six nearest-neighbors. Based

Properties of Ferroelectric Liquid Crystals

SPIE Proceedings, 1986
Certain smectic liquid-crystalline mesophases of chiral materials have been shown to exhibit both ferroelectric and pyroelectric properties. Consequently, these phenomena have recently been evaluated for their device potential. For example, these modifications have been proposed for use in displays, heat sensors, linear arrays, and spatial light ...
