Impurities and ferroelectric properties of semiconductors

Ferroelectrics, 1978
Within the framework of the vibronic theory of ferroelectric semiconductors the influence of impurity carriers on the ferroelectric properties of the crystal is investigated with the width of the allowed electron bands taken into account. A possibility of a significant shift of the Curie point and a modification of the form of the dependence of the low-

Improved Ferroelectric/Semiconductor Interface Properties in Hf0.5Zr0.5O2 Ferroelectric FETs by Low-Temperature Annealing

IEEE Electron Device Letters, 2020
Crystallization annealing is a key process for the formation of the ferroelectric phase in HfO2-based ferroelectric thin films. In this study, we systematically investigate the notable tradeoff of the annealing process, with temperature varied from 300°C

Ferroelectric Properties of Colemanite

Journal of Applied Physics, 1959
The ferroelectric properties of the calcium borate mineral colemanite are investigated in the ferroelectric and paraelectric temperature regions. It is shown that Devonshire's phenomenological theory may be applied successfully to account for the experimental measurements of spontaneous polarization and electrical susceptibility over a wide temperature

Dynamic properties of relaxor ferroelectrics

Journal of Applied Physics, 1999
We calculate the dynamic order parameter and dielectric susceptibility for the relaxor ferroelectrics like PbMg1/3Nb2/3O3, PbSc1/2Ta1/2O3 and Pb1−xLaxZryTi1−yO3. Calculations of temperature and frequency dependence of dielectric susceptibility show the existence of low- and high-temperature group of maxima obeyed to Vogel–Fulcher (VF) and Arrhenius ...

Dielectric properties of microcomposite ferroelectrics

Phase Transitions, 1999
Abstract The dielectric response in two-phase composites of ferroelectric and dielectric materials was studied within the quasistatic approximation. Using different effective medium theories (Maxwell-Garnet theory, the effective medium approximation and the Bergman representation) the dielectric function was represented as a distribution of polar modes.

Ferroelectric properties in aromatic polyamides

Proceedings of IEEE Conference on Electrical Insulation and Dielectric Phenomena - (CEIDP'94), 2002
On the basis of the ferroelectric behavior found for quenched or less-crystalline polyamides, ferroelectric properties were investigated for amorphous polyamides constituted of polymethylenediamines and isophthalic acid (I) which were designated as 6I, 9I, and 12I in accordance with the number of carbon atom in diamines and copolyamides of ...

Ferroelectric properties of pyridinium periodate

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1998
Polycrystalline pyridinium periodate has been studied over a wide range of temperature by differential thermal analysis, proton nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra and relaxation and complex dielectric permittivity measurements. Two solid-solid phase transitions at 210 and 323 K have been revealed and the pyridinium cation reorientation in all ...

Ferroelectric properties of pyridinium perrhenate

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1997
Polycrystalline pyridinium perrhenate has been studied over a wide range of temperatures by differential thermal analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, proton NMR spectra and relaxation, and dielectric permittivity measurements. Two solid–solid phase transitions at 250 and 333 K have been revealed and the pyridinium cation reorientations ...

Properties of new ferroelectric materials

Liquid Crystals, 1989
Abstract A homologous series of chiral 4-(3-methylpentyl)benzenethio-4′-n-alkoxy-benzoates has been studied. These thioesters display a ferroelectric, chiral smectic C phase in addition to cholesteric and smectic A phases. A comparison is made between the thioester series and a phenylbenzoate, having the same molecular end group.
