Fetal Atrial Flutter Associated With Atrial Septal Aneurysm [PDF]
Abstract Objective: To provide evidence that fetal atrial flutter (AF) caused by atrial septal aneurysm (ASA) can be completely cured by delivery. Cases: Three fetuses with ASA complicated by AF in late gestation, including hydrops fetalis in one case, were collected and completely followed up.

Prenatally diagnosed fetal heart rhythm abnormalities—incidence, diagnosis and outcome
Backrounds: Fetal arrhythmias represent a significant cause of fetal morbidity and mortality and occur in approximately 1–3% of pregnancies. The unknown fetal arrhythmias are the cause of intrauterine fetal demise in as many as 3–10% of cases, as well as

Two cases of atrial flutter with fetal hydrops: successful fetal drug therapy [PDF]
We describe two cases of fetal atrial flutter associated with severe fetal hydrops which were unresponsive to digoxin but were successfully treated with flecainide acetate. Two cases of fetal atrial flutter were identified in fetuses with severe fetal hydrops on 3rd trimester ultrasonogram(28 weeks' gestation and 30 weeks' gestation).

A case of sustained fetal atrial flutter at 25-week gestation: diagnostic challenges and therapeutic strategies. [PDF]
Introduction: Sustained fetal tachycardia is an uncommon phenomenon in gestations (approximately 0.1%). Atrial flutter (AF) accounts for 10–30% of fetal tachyarrhythmias, which is characterized by a rapid atrial rate estimated at 300–600 beats per minute, associated with variable degrees of atrioventricular conduction.

Eltrombopag use for refractory immune thrombocytopenia in pregnancy: A case report
Background: Immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) is a rare autoimmune disorder that involves platelet destruction in the spleen. Eltrombopag (Promacta®), a thrombopoietin agonist, has been used in non-pregnant patients to manage ITP, but few cases of ...

Fetal Atrial Flutter: Early Detection and Treatment
Fetal atrial flutter (AF) can occur with structurally normal hearts or congenital heart disease, including atrioventricular septal defect, hypoplastic left heart syndrome, pulmonary atresia, and Ebstein's malformation. 1 It is important to detect fetal AF early and treat it appropriately. We present a case of fetal AF that was treated timely, resulting

Arritmias fetais. Casuística de quatro anos e meio.
In a 4 1/2 year period fetal, echocardiographic studies were performed on 1600 fetuses. In 55 with arrhythmia, 44 had supraventricular ectopic beats, resolved in all, and none had heart disease. Sustained arrhythmias occurred in 11 fetuses.
