Among 170,250 UK Biobank women (2006–2024), ever HRT use was associated with higher incident ASCVD risk (adjusted HR 1.13, 95% CI 1.08–1.18), largely driven by ischemic stroke. Associations were stronger in women ≤45 years and during perimenopause. Mediation via sex hormones, inflammatory markers, or lipids was minimal (<2%).

Successful treatment of fetal atrial flutter and congestive heart failure. [PDF]
Fetal supraventricular tachycardia may cause congestive heart failure, hydrops fetalis, and intrauterine death. Tachycardia in a fetus of 34 weeks' gestation was diagnosed as atrial flutter by echocardiography, and was successfully treated by giving the mother digoxin.

Long‐Term Cardiovascular Outcomes Following New‐Onset Arrhythmias During Pregnancy
ABSTRACT Background Arrhythmias during pregnancy are increasingly prevalent and associated with acute adverse cardiovascular outcomes, yet their long‐term cardiovascular implications remain poorly defined. To address this gap, we conducted a large population‐based study to evaluate 5‐year cardiovascular outcomes following incident arrhythmias during ...

Fetal atrial flutter and supraventricular tachycardia
Supraventricular tachycardia(SVT) and atrial flutter(AF) are life-threatening fetal conditions. Prenatal diagnosis of fetal arrhythmia is possible. In M-mode atrias and ventricles should be “cut” on the same image, heart rate of atrias and ventricles are counted. In AF there is usually 2:1 conduction. Type of SVT relied on time intervals.

Fetal atrial flutter - case report and therapeutic discussion
Fetal tachycardia occurs in 0.4 0.6% of all pregnancies. Out of the sustained fetal tachyarrhythmias, the atrial flutter is the second most common. It causes fetal heart failure when not properly treated, and early pregnancy interruption may be required. The diagnosis of tachyarrhythmias is mainly achieved by intra-uterus echocardiography.

Review of diagnosis, treatment, and outcome of fetal atrial flutter compared with supraventricular tachycardia [PDF]
Objective: To review the diagnosis, treatment, and outcome of fetal atrial flutter compared with supraventricular tachycardia. Design: Retrospective review of published reports: 11 papers about fetal tachyarrhythmia published between 1991 and 2002 were selected for review.

Catheter ablation of typical right atrial flutter in a 20‐day‐old neonate with tachycardiomyopathy
Background Fetal echocardiography can diagnose neonatal atrial flutter, which can cause heart failure in newborns. Little is known about catheter ablation in this population.
