Fetal inflammatory response syndrome [Fetal İnflamatuar Yanit Sendromu (FIRS)]

Systemic inflammatory response that occurs in the fetus is called fetal inflammatory response syndrome. It is characterized by the presence of fetal vasculitis and increased proinflamatory cytokines in the amniotic fluid or in fetal blood. There is an intrauterine infection and fetus gives reaction to it.
