Application of Biochar Derived From Pyrolysis of Waste Fiberboard on Tetracycline Adsorption in Aqueous Solution

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2020
In this study, biochars derived from waste fiberboard biomass were applied in tetracycline (TC) removal in aqueous solution. Biochar samples were prepared by slow pyrolysis at 300, 500, and 800°C, and were characterized by ultimate analysis, Fourier ...

The effect of ammonium chloride usage on the recycling of fiberboards in the hydrothermal hydrolysis method

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Forestry
Fiberboards, when disposed of at the end of their service life, cause some significant environmental issues such as air pollution. The recycling of fiberboards is the most effective solution to these problems; however, it has not yet found a widespread ...

FINAL REPORT FOR MOISTURE EFFECTS ON COMPACTION OF FIBERBOARD IN A 9975 SHIPPING PACKAGE [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Compaction of lower layers in the fiberboard assembly has been observed in 9975 packages that contain elevated moisture. Lab testing has resulted in a better understanding of the relationship between the fiberboard moisture level and compaction of the ...

Nutrient composition and heavy metal accumulation in water hyacinth [Eichhornia crassipes (Mart.) Solms] and water lettuce (Pistia stratiotes L.) from the Dande River, Nepal: Implications for use as alternative feed resources

open access: yesJSFA reports, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The proliferation of invasive aquatic macrophytes poses a significant ecological challenge globally, while many tropical regions face chronic shortages of affordable livestock feed. This study addresses this dual problem by assessing two invasive species, water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) and water lettuce (Pistia stratiotes ...

Development of Cost‐Effective and Highly Transparent Melamine Formaldehyde Resin Modified With Sodium Chloride for Enhancing Glossiness and Abrasion Resistance of Melamine Impregnated Paper

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.
An eco‐friendly melamine‐formaldehyde was produced by the addition of sodium chloride as a modifier. Modified MF resin improved surface gloss and abrasion resistance of decorative paper and decreased the formaldehyde emission. Curing time of the MF resin decreased with the addition of sodium chloride.
