Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans with fibrosarcomatous transformation of the head and neck. [PDF]
Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a rare cutaneous neoplasm associated with a high cure rate. We present a case of aggressive DFSP with fibrosarcomatous areas in the head and neck. A 28-year-old Mediterranean female presented with a 45-day history of rapidly growing cutaneous lesion of the face.

Programmed death-ligand 1 expression is associated with fibrosarcomatous transformation of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. [PDF]
Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a locally invading tumor, characterized by the presence of the collagen type I α 1 (COL1A1)-platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) β fusion gene. We herein report the case of a 31-year-old man with a history of resection of an abdominal wall DFSP.

Anesthetic and Analgesic Management of Pediatric Patients for Staged Repeat Same-Day Surgery. [PDF]
Background Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a rare dermatologic malignancy in children requiring a multidisciplinary approach for surgical excision and postoperative care. The modified “slow Mohs” repeat staged excision and the associated anesthetic technique are not well described in the pediatric literature.

Novel TNC-PDGFD fusion in fibrosarcomatous dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans: a case report
Background Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a superficial fibroblastic tumor characterized by high rate of local recurrence and low metastatic potential.

Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a low‐to‐intermediate grade sarcoma with a reported incidence of 4.1 per million person‐years. Despite its local invasiveness, it rarely metastasizes (5% of cases). Fibrosarcomatous change in DFSP is a form of tumor progression that carries an increased risk of metastases.

S1‐Guideline: Microscopically controlled surgery
Summary Microscopically controlled surgery (MCS) comprises various methods allowing histologically proven complete resection of malignant tumors while at the same time sparing the tumor‐free tissue in the immediate vicinity as much as possible. All procedures subsumed under MCS have in common the marking of the excised tissue for topographical ...

Abstract Background Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a kind of low‐grade malignant spindle cell neoplasm, the diagnosis, and treatment, which have markedly attracted clinicians’ attention for its repeated recurrence. High‐resolution magnetic resonance imaging (HR‐MRI) has shown unique capabilities in diagnosis of various cutaneous tumors ...

DermatoFibroSarcoma Protuberans: A case report of a complete cure
DermatoFibroSarcoma Protuberans (DFSP) is a rare recurrent fibrohistiocytic tumor. Because of the rarity of the disease, non‐specific presentation and lack of immunohistochemistry (IHC), its diagnosis is often delayed and prompt treatment is deferred, which can lead to complications such as recurrence and metastasis.

Genomic alterations of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans revealed by whole‐genome sequencing
Summary Background Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a rare and marginal cutaneous sarcoma of intermediate‐grade malignancy, for which the genomic landscape remains unclear. Understanding the landscape of DFSP will help to further classify the genomic pathway of malignant development in soft tissue.
