Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

First axion dark matter search with toroidal geometry [PDF]
We firstly report an axion haloscope search with toroidal geometry. In this pioneering search, we exclude the axion-photon coupling $g_{a\gamma\gamma}$ down to about $5\times10^{-8}$ GeV$^{-1}$ over the axion mass range from 24.7 to 29.1 $\mu$eV at a 95\%

By dawn or dusk—how circadian timing rewrites bacterial infection outcomes
The circadian clock shapes immune function, yet its influence on infection outcomes is only beginning to be understood. This review highlights how circadian timing alters host responses to the bacterial pathogens Salmonella enterica, Listeria monocytogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae revealing that the effectiveness of immune defense depends not only

Particle Tracking Studies Using Dynamical Map Created from Finite Element Solution of the EMMA Cell [PDF]
The unconventional size and the possibility of transverse displacement of the magnets in the EMMA non-scaling FFAG motivates a careful study of particle behavior within the EMMA ring.

Feasibility of the Spin-Light Polarimetry Technique for Longitudinally Polarized Electron Beams
A novel polarimeter based on the asymmetry in the spacial distribution of synchrotron radiation will make for a fine addition to the existing M{\o}ller and Compton polarimeters.

Visual Field Map Organization in Human Visual Cortex
The search for organizing principles of visual processing in cortex has proven long and fruitful, demonstrating specific types of organization arising on multiple scales (e.g., magnocellular / parvo-cellular pathways [1] and ocular dominance columns [2]).

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.
