Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

The Gridded Geomagnetic Field of India with MATLAB GUI

open access: yesData Science Journal
A unique two-dimensional gridded geomagnetic map of India is constructed using the geomagnetic field observations from 11 observatories of India, operated by the Indian Institute of Geomagnetism. In order to create the spatial grid, 11 spatial techniques

Uniformly continuous 1-1 functions on ordered fields not mapping interior to interior [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Numerical Analysis and Optimization, 2008
In an earlier work we showed that for ordered fields F not isomorphic to the reals R, there are continuous 1-1 unctions on [0, 1]F which map some interior point to a boundary point of the image (and so are not open).

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

A Fast Map Merging Algorithm in the Field of Multirobot SLAM

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2013
In recent years, the research on single-robot simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) has made a great success. However, multirobot SLAM faces many challenging problems, including unknown robot poses, unshared map, and unstable communication.
