Field Oriented Control of Synchronous Machines
IETE Journal of Research, 1991Although field orientation in induction machines is only 20 years old, the corresponding concept in synchronous machines dates back almost 60 years to the days of the thyratron tube. After a brief historical review, the basic theory of synchronous machine field orientation is outlined.

Field oriented control of a synchronous drive
IEEE International Conference on Electric Machines and Drives, 2005., 2005Field oriented control (FOC) may be used for simple high-power synchronous drives, such as pumps and fans, to unify system with asynchronous drives. But distinction is strong influence of torque component of current on flux. Internal feedback in control object is investigated. This feedback becomes positive one in definite regimes. A simple addition in

Principles of Vector Control and Field Orientation
1996Abstract In this chapter the basic concepts of torque control and field orientation are introduced based on steady state considerations for both synchronous and induction machines. A basic set of three requirements which enable direct control of machine torque production is developed and used to illustrate the type of controller ...

A neural network controller for indirect field orientation control
IAS '95. Conference Record of the 1995 IEEE Industry Applications Conference Thirtieth IAS Annual Meeting, 2002This paper presents the design of a neural network controller for the stator current command in an indirect field oriented system. A particular three layer neural network structure is studied in some detail. This neural network controller has two outputs, stationary frame q and d axis current commands i/sub qs//sup s/ and i/sub ds//sup s/. The input to

Field-Oriented Vector Control of Synchronous Motors With Additional Field Winding
IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, 2004Summary form only given. This work presents a new method to control a synchronous motor in such a way to resemble the characteristics of a DC motor. The method suggests including a second field winding to the rotor of a voltage-source-inverter-fed synchronous motor.

Field-oriented controlled induction generator with loss minimization
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2002In this paper, a strategy to control an induction generator (IG) working with variable speed and load is presented and discussed. An inverter and a field-oriented controller are used in order to excite the induction machine (IM) efficiently, minimizing copper and iron losses, and to regulate the generated voltage.

Referent control of the orientation of posture and movement in the gravitational field
Experimental Brain Research, 2017This study addresses the question of how posture and movement are oriented with respect to the direction of gravity. It is suggested that neural control levels coordinate spatial thresholds at which multiple muscles begin to be activated to specify a referent body orientation (RO) at which muscle activity is minimized.

A mean-field control-oriented approach to particle filtering
Proceedings of the 2011 American Control Conference, 2011A new formulation of the particle filter for nonlinear filtering is presented, based on concepts from optimal control, and from the mean-field game theory framework of Huang et. al. [8]. The optimal control is chosen so that the posterior distribution of a particle matches as closely as possible the posterior distribution of the true state, given the ...

Sensorless adaptive field oriented control of brushless motor
2016 European Control Conference (ECC), 2016“Field Oriented Control” (FOC) is the the most efficient way to control a bruchless motor. This control generates constantly a magnetic field perpendicular to the rotor, which maximises its efficiency. However, to do so, it requires knowledge of the rotor position in real time.

Controllable Dendritic Crystal Simulation Using Orientation Field
Computer Graphics Forum, 2018AbstractReal world dendritic growths show charming structures by their exquisite balance between the symmetry and randomness in the crystal formation. Other than the variety in the natural crystals, richer visual appearance of crystals can benefit from artificially controlling of the crystal growth on its growing directions and shapes.
