Cyclic Foam Topological Field Theories

open access: yes, 2009
This paper proposes an axiomatic for Cyclic Foam Topological Field theories. That is Topological Field theories, corresponding to String theories, where particles are arbitrary graphs.

Quantum field theory

open access: yesReviews of Modern Physics, 1999
I discuss the general principles underlying quantum field theory, and attempt to identify its most profound consequences. The deepest of these consequences result from the infinite number of degrees of freedom invoked to implement locality. I mention a few of its most striking successes, both achieved and prospective.

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

On democratic string field theories

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We reexamine democratic open string field theories, namely, theories in which string fields are not constrained to a single picture number and picture changing is obtained as a gauge transformation.

Resummation in hot field theories

open access: yes, 2002
We consider a scalar theory at finite temperature in the 2PI resummation scheme, including phi^3 and phi^4 interactions. Already at the one loop level in this scheme, we have to deal with a non local approximation.

Class IIa HDACs forced degradation allows resensitization of oxaliplatin‐resistant FBXW7‐mutated colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

Bell-Type Quantum Field Theories

open access: yes, 2004
In [Phys. Rep. 137, 49 (1986)] John S. Bell proposed how to associate particle trajectories with a lattice quantum field theory, yielding what can be regarded as a |Psi|^2-distributed Markov process on the appropriate configuration space.

Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

A note on the S-matrix bootstrap for the 2d O(N) bosonic model

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
In this work we apply the S-matrix bootstrap maximization program to the 2d bosonic O(N) integrable model which has N species of scalar particles of mass m and no bound states.
