Structure‐informed engineering of plant–microbe interactions
SUMMARY This review critically evaluates how structural biology has enabled interface‐informed engineering of plant–microbe interactions, with a clear emphasis on the relative maturity of plant–pathogen research compared with symbiosis engineering. In plant immunity, atomic resolution structures of apoplastic receptors, host targets, and intracellular ...

Abstract The food enzyme triacylglycerol lipase (triacylglycerol acylhydrolase, EC 3.1.1.3) is produced with the genetically modified Trichoderma reesei strain DP‐Nzk118 by Genencor International B.V. The genetic modifications do not give rise to safety concerns.

Schematic illustration of the workflow from DNA sequence‐based research to expression in shaking flasks and subsequent purification via IMAC. The obtained enzymes broaden the toolbox of enzymes used for halogenation reactions with differing catalytic properties and tolerances to reaction‐related conditions.
