Third order intermodulation distortion in Film Bulk Acoustic Resonators at resonance and antiresonance [PDF]

open access: yes2008 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 2008
This paper presents recent measurements and modeling of the third order intermodulation products of a Film Bulk Acoustic Resonator (FBAR), for a various values of frequency spacing between driving tones. The frequency dependence of voltage and current in the acoustic branch rules out a voltage-dependent nonlinearity.

Tunable high-Q SAW resonator loaded on a changing capacitance [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Dielectrics, 2020
A tunable high-Q surface acoustic wave (SAW) resonator in the form of several parallel-connected interdigital transducers loaded on a varying capacitance on lithium niobate substrates was developed and studied. The working frequency range was 90–2450MHz.

Processing Chip for Thin Film Bulk Acoustic Resonator Mass Sensor

open access: yesJournal of Control Science and Engineering, 2012
Aimed at portable application, a new integrated process chip for thin film bulk acoustic resonator (FBAR) mass sensor is proposed and verified with 0.18 um CMOS processing in this paper. The longitudinal mode FBAR with back-etched structure is fabricated,

Quasi-3D Model for Lateral Resonances on Homogeneous BAW Resonators

open access: yesMicromachines, 2023
Lateral modes are responsible for the in-band spurious resonances that appear on BAW resonators, degrading the in-band filter response. In this work, a fast computational method based on the transmission line matrix (TLM) method is employed to model the ...

Ultrathin single‐crystalline LiNbO 3 film bulk acoustic resonator for 5G communication

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2020
This Letter reports a high-performance film bulk acoustic resonator (FBAR) that can be applied in 5G wireless communication. The FBAR has a back-etched free-standing structure using an ultra-thin single-crystalline lithium niobate (LiNbO3) as the ...
