Filtering Antenna With Two-Octave Harmonic Suppression [PDF]
A novel 2nd–order antenna with filtering performance and two-octave harmonic suppression is proposed. In order to reduce the effects of the harmonics of the antenna, two types of antennas (PIFA and patch) with different resonant characteristics are integrated into the design.

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Compact Differential-Fed Planar Filtering Antennas [PDF]
This paper proposes novel low-profile differential-fed planar antennas with embedded sharp frequency selectively. The antennas are compact and easy to integrate with differential devices without matching baluns. The antenna design is formulated as a topology optimization problem, where requirements on impedance bandwidth, directivity, and filtering are

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Helical coaxial-resonator makes excellent RF filter [PDF]
Isolation of closely spaced transmitting and receiving frequencies of an antenna without insertion loss by filtering the receiver input is accomplished by an inner conductor with two winding helices and an outer conductor of aluminum. A tuning slug is at

Uplink Linear Receivers for Multi-cell Multiuser MIMO with Pilot Contamination: Large System Analysis [PDF]
Base stations with a large number of transmit antennas have the potential to serve a large number of users at high rates. However, the receiver processing in the uplink relies on channel estimates which are known to suffer from pilot interference.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

This paper presents a single-layer dual-polarized filtering antenna with good out-of-band suppression. By using inherent characteristic of the patch’s eigenmode and meanwhile merging four filtering strategies, i.e., parasitic patches, slot on the driving
