Trueperella pyogenes–Associated Acute Pneumonia in Korean Native Calves
Trueperella pyogenes can cause a wide range of suppurative infections, including urogenital and mammary infections, liver abscesses and pneumonia. This case report demonstrates Trueperella pyogenes as a primary cause of bovine respiratory disease in Korean native calves.

How Salmonella Works Under Osmotic and Desiccation Stresses
ABSTRACT Salmonella remains one of the leading threats in foods with reduced water activity, where it can survive for long periods and cause outbreaks. Its persistence stems from a wide array of adaptive strategies shaped by the selective pressures imposed by low‐moisture foods.

We provide the first human evidence that the exercise‐induced myokine irisin mediates the relationship between physical activity and hippocampal volume in older adults, with strongest effects in CA1, CA3 and CA4 subfields. These regions are critical for memory and particularly vulnerable to Alzheimer's disease.

Anaerobe‐Driven Inflammation and Epithelial Barrier Disruption in Genital HIV Acquisition
ABSTRACT Background Genital microbiome dysbiosis is an important risk factor for the sexual acquisition of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in both the male and female genital tracts. The vaginal, penile and urethral mucosae are distinct microenvironments with characteristic microbiome compositions.

The efficacy of the novel anti‐tau active immunotherapy, p5555kb, was tested using two mouse models of tau pathology. p5555kb inoculation increased the survival rate and reduced tau pathology in tau‐overexpressing P301L mice and decreased tau seeding in the brains of C57BL/6 mice injected with human‐purified Alzheimer's disease tau.

ABSTRACT Fisheries managers increasingly rely on stock assessment models to provide sustainable management advice, which must balance complex and competing objectives. Although assessment models necessitate simplifying assumptions, there is increasing recognition to improve the integration of realistic biological and fishery dynamics. While ongoing and

What's New? High‐grade serous ovarian carcinoma is often diagnosed at advanced stages due to non‐specific symptoms and the lack of reliable screening methods. This proof‐of‐concept study introduces a novel TP53 mutation panel using unique molecular identifier‐based next‐generation sequencing for sensitive detection of high‐grade serous ovarian ...
