Highly enhanced adsorption of Congo red by functionalized finger-citron-leaf-based porous carbon [PDF]

open access: yesWater Science and Technology, 2017
Abstract A novel high-performance porous carbon material, lanthanum(III)-doped finger-citron-leaf-based porous carbon (La/FPC), has been synthesized and used as an adsorbent for anion dye Congo red (CR). The La/FPC was characterized by nitrogen adsorption and desorption isotherms, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron ...

Noemi controls production of flavonoid pigments and fruit acidity and illustrates the domestication routes of modern citrus varieties [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In citrus, the production of anthocyanin pigments requires the activity of the transcriptional activator Ruby. Consequently, loss-of-function mutations in Ruby result in an anthocyaninless phenotype [1].
