Finite-Time Event-Triggered Formation Tracking Control of USVs Subject to Input Saturation Based on Active Disturbance Rejection Control

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
This paper proposes an integrated finite-time relative-threshold event-triggered control (FTRTETC) framework for unmanned surface vehicle (USV) formations under input saturation and unknown time-varying external disturbances.

Correspondence between thermal and quantum vacuum transitions around horizons

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
Recently, there are comparable revised interests in bubble nucleation seeded by black holes. However, it is debated in the literature that whether one shall interpret a static bounce solution in the Euclidean Schwarzschild spacetime (with periodic ...

Fixed-time output tracking control for extended nonholonomic chained-form systems with state observers

open access: yesMeasurement + Control, 2020
This paper deals with the fixed-time tracking control problem of extended nonholonomic chained-form systems with state observers. According to the structure characteristic of such chained-form systems, two subsystems are considered to design controllers,

Microstructure Reconstruction in Battery Electrodes Using Machine Learning Based on Low‐Voltage Focused Ion Beam–Scanning Electron Microscopy Tomography Images

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐voltage FIB‐SEM tomography combined with a image preprocessing pipeline improves phase contrast and enables reliable machine‐learning segmentation of conductive networks in lithium‐ion battery electrodes. Structural descriptors are extracted from segmented images, done semimanually and automated, and compared.

Synchronization and Identification in Finite Time for Fractional Multi-Delayed Complex Networks with Hybrid Couplings

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
This paper investigates the finite time stability (FTS) of multi-delayed systems with Riemann-Liouville fractional order (RLFO). Firstly, a lemma on the FTS criterion is established for RLFO multi-delay systems, which lays the theoretical groundwork for ...

From Shear to Sound: Mechanics–Acoustics Mapping of TPMS Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) lattices are mapped across mechanical and acoustic performance, revealing that descriptors validated in compression fail under shear. First‐time comparison with trusses included. A transition from porous to resonance‐driven absorption emerges at 25% density.

Observer‐based finite‐time time‐varying elliptical formation control of a group mobile mecanum‐wheeled omnidirectional vehicles for collaborative wildfire monitoring

open access: yesIET Control Theory & Applications
This article addresses the issue of collaborative wildfire monitoring using a group mobile mecanum‐wheeled omnidirectional vehicles (MWOVs) affected by nonlinear uncertainties and external disturbances. By integrating finite‐time extended state observers

Influence of Geometric Design on Mechanical Performance of Auxetic Metastructure

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Strategic geometric reinforcement transforms auxetic performance. This study evaluates 3D‐printed arrowhead metastructures, revealing that a modified design with local ring reinforcement suppresses premature failure to achieve superior energy absorption and structural efficiency.

Inverse Identification of Energy‐Dependent Laser Absorptivity in NiTi Laser Powder‐Bed Fusion via Calibrated Melt Pool Simulation

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A combined experimental–computational framework identifies energy‐dependent laser absorptivity for NiTi in laser powder‐bed fusion, applicable to conduction and transition modes. Single‐track experiments and thermofluid smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulations are coupled through inverse analysis of melt pool geometry.
