Robust Perturbation Observer-based Finite Control Set Model Predictive Current Control for SPMSM Considering Parameter Mismatch

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
In order to improve the dynamics of the surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motors (SPMSM) used in servo systems, finite control set model predictive current control (FCS-MPCC) methods have been widely adopted. However, because the FCS-MPCC is a

On the Choice of Norm in Finite Control Set Model Predictive Control

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2018
In power electronics, the $\ell _1$ -norm (instead of the squared $\ell _2$ -norm) is often used in the objective function of model predictive controllers (MPCs) with reference tracking. Although the $\ell _1$ -norm is preferred for its computational simplicity, it might lead to a performance deterioration and closed-loop instability.

3D‐Printed Giant Magnetoresistive (GMR) Sensors Based on Self Compliant Springs

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores 3D‐printed GMR sensors utilizing self‐compliant spring structures and conductive PLA composites. By optimizing arm width, we achieved high piezoresistive (0.34%/mm) and magnetoresistive (0.77%/mT) sensitivities. Demonstrated through Bluetooth‐integrated pressure and magnetic position sensing, these full printed low‐cost, customizable

Electrical Conductivities of Conductors, Semiconductors, and Their Mixtures at Elevated Temperatures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents a comprehensive review of temperature‐dependent electrical conductivity data for multiple material classes at elevated temperatures, highlighting a persistent conductivity gap between metals and semiconductors in the range of 102$\left(10\right)^{2}$– 107$\left(10\right)^{7}$ S/m. Metal–ceramic irregular metamaterials are proposed

A survey of induction algorithms for machine learning [PDF]

open access: yes, 1983
Central to all systems for machine learning from examples is an induction algorithm. The purpose of the algorithm is to generalize from a finite set of training examples a description consistent with the examples seen, and, hopefully, with the ...

Convex Chance Constrained Model Predictive Control

open access: yes, 2016
We consider the Chance Constrained Model Predictive Control problem for polynomial systems subject to disturbances. In this problem, we aim at finding optimal control input for given disturbed dynamical system to minimize a given cost function subject to

Investigation of Oxygen‐Free Wetting Behavior of Aluminum on Copper via Molecular Dynamics Simulations and Experiments

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The wettability of aluminum droplets (Al) on different copper substrates (Cu), where liquid Al spreads on solid Cu surfaces to form a liquid–solid interface, is studied numerically and experimentally. The experimental and numerical results show good agreement in the fast‐spreading regime.
