E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

Assessment of Graduate Human Resources Development Program for St. John Fisher College
The first formal assessment of the Graduate Human Resource Development program at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY is conducted and reviewed. This assessment from the learners\u27 perspective is examined at five levels: Kirkpatrick\u27s (1998b ...

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Fisher Information Flow in Artificial Neural Networks
The estimation of continuous parameters from measured data plays a central role in many fields of physics. A key tool in understanding and improving such estimation processes is the concept of Fisher information, which quantifies how information about ...

Generalized Wavelet Fisher’s Information of 1/fα Signals
This paper defines the generalized wavelet Fisher information of parameter q. This information measure is obtained by generalizing the time-domain definition of Fisher’s information of Furuichi to the wavelet domain and allows to quantify smoothness and ...

Fisher Information and Spline Interpolation
It is shown that among all cumulative distribution functions passing through $k \geqq 2$ given points there is a unique one with minimal Fisher information; it is obtained by a curious type of spline interpolation. This answers some questions raisd by D. G. Kendall and J. W. Tukey.

Fisher Information and the Combination of RGB Channels [PDF]
We introduce a method to combine the color channels of an image to a scalar valued image. Linear combinations of the RGB channels are constructed using the Fisher-Trace-Information (FTI), defined as the trace of the Fisher information matrix of the Weibull distribution, as a cost function.

The Fisher-Rao metric for projective transformations of the line [PDF]
A conditional probability density function is defined for measurements arising from a projective transformation of the line. The conditional density is a member of a parameterised family of densities in which the parameter takes values in the three ...
