Fixation in Form-Acetic allows hyaluronic acid detection in mouse ovaries
To visualise tissues to determine the presence of disease or simply to understand anatomy, it is important to preserve fresh tissue. Fixatives are chemical solutions that preserve tissues to enable microscopic evaluation.

The senile plaque: Morphological differences in APP knock‐in mice brains by fixatives
The morphology of senile plaques depends on the APP knock‐in mice brain fixative. Solid forms of senile plaques were detected in APP knock‐in mice after formic acid treatment with Davidson's and Bouin's fluid fixative as the brain of AD patients.

Monoclonal antibodies against human astrocytomas and their reactivity pattern [PDF]
The establishment of hybridomas after fusion of X63-Ag8.653 mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from mice hyperimmunized against human astrocytomas is presented. The animals were primed with 5 × 106 chemically modified uncultured or cultured glioma cells.

Evaluation of Two Systems Used to Extract Alfalfa Weevil Larvae (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) from Alfalfa Samples [PDF]
A modified Berlese funnel system was developed to extract alfalfa weevil larvae (Hypera postica) from quadrats 30.5 cm on a side. Data from this system were comp.wed with simultaneous data from a hand sorting extraction system.

The topic of this paper are integer programming models in which a subset of 0/1-variables encode a partitioning of a set of objects into disjoint subsets. Such models can be surprisingly hard to solve by branch-and-cut algorithms if the order of the subsets of the partition is irrelevant, since this kind of symmetry unnecessarily blows up the search ...

Introduction: Ninety-five percent ethanol is the routinely used and standard cytological fixative. However, commercially available ethanol is expensive and not freely available in some institutions. There is always a search for an ideal alternative.

La conservation des collections en fluide
The conservation of collections held in fluids, a conservational and historical approachKnowledge of the history of collections held in fluids is very important, as it enables researchers to determine with chemicals were used at the time of the original ...

Evaluation of Histomorphometric Changes in Tissue Architecture in Relation to Alteration in Fixation Protocol – An Invitro Study [PDF]
Introduction: Preparation of good tissue specimens for microscopy requires complete fixation. No ideal fixative has been found till date, with every fixative showing advantages and disadvantages. Appropriate fixation is required to maintain clear and
