Hybrid-Controlled Class-E resonant converter with synchronous rectifier for LED driver applications

open access: yesEngineering Science and Technology, an International Journal
DC-DC converters used in LED driver applications are desired to operate with high efficiency at high switching frequencies. Class-E resonant converter, which is simple in structure and easy to implement, is especially suitable for high-frequency and low ...

A Sliding-Mode Controlled Single-Phase Grid-Connected Quasi-Z-Source NPC Inverter With Double-Line Frequency Ripple Suppression

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this paper, double-line frequency (2ω) ripple suppression and SMC with time-invariant (fixed) switching frequency methods are proposed for single-phase grid-connected three-level neutral-pointclamped quasi-Z-source inverters.

Direct predictive current-error vector control for a direct matrix converter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
This paper proposes a novel control strategy for matrix converters which is coined “Direct Predictive Current-error Vector Control”. The proposed control method retains the advantageous features of both a modulation scheme and of a predictive based ...

Preferences of Pediatric Patients and Their Caregivers for Chemotherapy‐Induced Nausea and Vomiting Control Endpoints: A Mixed Methods Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Although not always achieved, complete chemotherapy‐induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) control is the conventional goal of CINV prophylaxis. In this two‐center, mixed‐methods study, we sought to understand the preferences of adolescent patients and family caregivers for CINV control endpoints.

VOT and VFT-Based hybrid digital hysteresis control for UPS inverter

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2023
When the digital hysteresis current control (DHCC) strategy is applied to control the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) inverter, here are some issues such as large hysteresis tracking error caused by sampling interval and severe switching frequency ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Coherent control of correlated nanodevices: A hybrid time-dependent numerical renormalization-group approach to periodic switching

open access: yes, 2012
The time-dependent numerical renormalization-group approach (TD-NRG), originally devised for tracking the real-time dynamics of quantum-impurity systems following a single quantum quench, is extended to multiple switching events.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Model predictive control of modular multilevel converter based on fixed switch state set for offshore wind power

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2023
This paper aims at the problems of the traditional modular model predictive control (MPC) of modular multilevel converter (MMC) with huge computational complexity and high equivalent switching frequency.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
