Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Smoothly Transitive Fixed Frequency Hysteresis Current Control Based on Optimal Voltage Space Vector

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
This paper proposes a smoothly transitive fixed frequency hysteresis current control (ST-FHCC) scheme applied to an active power filter (APF). First of all, a switching fixed frequency hysteresis current control (S-FHCC) is introduced, which is based on ...

A Family of Discontinuous PWM Strategies for Quasi Z-Source Nine-Switch Inverters

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
This paper proposes a new family of discontinuous PWM strategies to control the quasi-Z-source nine-switch inverters (qZS-NSI). The presented strategies provide buck and boost inversion capabilities, and suitable for common-frequency and different ...

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...

Model predictive torque control for permanent magnet synchronous motor based on dynamic finite-control-set using fuzzy control

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2020
Aiming at the problem of fixed candidate voltage vector (VV) in conventional finite-control-set (FCS) model predictive torque control (MPTC) of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), fuzzy control is use to determine dynamic candidate VVs based on ...

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Fixed-frequency hysteretic buck converter with novel adaptive window control and transient response improvement

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
This study presents a fixed-frequency hysteretic buck converter designed and fabricated using 0.18-µm complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor process. With a phase-locked loop (PLL)-based adaptive window control, the proposed buck converter can achieve a

Model predictive control for Active-Bridge-Active-Clamp (ABAC) converter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The Dual-Active-Bridge is a well-established isolated, bidirectional DC/DC topology suitable for applications where high efficiency, galvanic isolation and large voltage conversion ratios are required. However, in low voltage high power cases, the output
