Instability of lean H2-O2-CO2 premixed flames on a flat burner
Global warming and air pollution mainly caused by emissions of CO2 and NOx are serious problems. We focus on a lean H2-O2 premixed flame because H2-O2 premixed flame emits no CO2 and NOx.

Acoustic Instabilities On Swirling Flames
The POD makes possible to reduce the complete high-dimensional acoustic field to a low-dimensional subspace where different modes are identified and let reconstruct in a simple way a high percentage of the variance of the field. Rotating modes are instabilities which are commonly observed in swirling flows.

A new phase‐change material encapsulated membrane offers more thermal resilience stability and safety than the conventional separators for batteries. ABSTRACT Thermal runaway in lithium‐ion batteries arises from the intrinsic coupling between heat generation and ion transport, yet conventional shutdown separators primarily rely on passive pore collapse

Flame macrostructures and thermoacoustic instabilities in stratified swirling flames
Abstract The present article investigates the correlation between flame macrostructures and thermoacoustic combustion instabilities in stratified swirling flames. Experiments are carried out in a laboratory scale longitudinal test rig equipped with the Beihang Axial Swirler Independently-Stratified (BASIS) burner, a novel double-swirled combustion ...

Electrolyte Design for Fast‐Charging Lithium‐Based Batteries
A decade of progress in fast‐charging electrolytes for lithium batteries is reviewed. Electrolyte design strategies spanning solvents, salts, additives, and advanced systems, such as localized high‐concentration electrolytes (LHCEs), are summarized. Advanced diagnostic tools for lithium plating and interphase chemistry are discussed, with perspectives ...
