Trajectory Tracking Control for a Boost Converter Based on the Differential Flatness Property

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper presents the control design for the regulation and trajectory tracking tasks of the non-minimum phase output voltage of a DC-DC Boost-type power converter. The proposed approach exploits the differential flatness property of the system leading

Differential flatness based full authority helicopter control design

open access: yes, 1999
A full authority helicopter control design based on differential flatness is presented. The concept of outer flatness is deployed for the design. The position dynamics and attitude dynamics are treated as the outer and inner systems respectively.

A new flow chip in combination with multiphoton microscopy as a protocol for longitudinal 3D imaging of tissue calcification under shear stress

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Miniaturized flow chip platform enabling continuous perfusion and longitudinal multiphoton 3D imaging of vascular smooth muscle cell constructs under physiological flow. Brightfield imaging guides region selection, while CellTracker Green and mRuby‐labeled fetuin‐A visualize cells and mineral deposition, respectively. Magnesium supplementation markedly

Ionomycin suppresses cancer cell growth by disrupting mitochondrial transcription

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In this study, we identify a new function for the selective Ca2+ ionophore, ionomycin, as an inhibitor of mitochondrial transcription. Both total and nascent RNA analyses revealed that ionomycin treatment reduces the transcription of mitochondrial genes.

Control of flatness for chemical mechanical planarization

open access: yes, 2022
S.269-274To measure and control the topography of wafer surfaces at nanometer scale is essential for semiconductor manufacturing. Flatness control of chemical mechanical planarization requires compact metrology to be integrated in-line in CMP tools ...

Optimizing photoexcitation conditions for time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering experiments

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering (TR‐XSS) is a powerful technique to visualize how proteins change their structure in real time after light activation. Selecting the right laser photoexcitation conditions—fluence, excitation geometry, and sample refresh rate—is critical to maximize the experimental signal while avoiding unwanted side effects ...

Feedback control for steering support system based on flatness and particle swarm optimization

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Mechanical Design, Systems, and Manufacturing, 2016
In this study we give a feedback control method for steering support system. In this method we consider the stability of the path tracking control system under the limitation of steering angle, so that drivers can drive safer and more comfortable.

Differential flatness based control of a rotorcraft for aggressive maneuvers

open access: yes2011 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems, 2011
We propose a new method to control a multi-rotor aerial vehicle. We show that the system dynamics are differentially flat. We utilize the differential flatness of the system to provide a feed forward input. The system model derived allows for arbitrary changes in yaw and is not limited to small roll and pitch angles.

In silico and in vitro exploration of a tyrosinase for biocatalytic production of catechols

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Tyrosinase from Ralstonia pseudosolanacearum is a promising biocatalyst for producing valuable catechols from monophenol substrates. This tyrosinase is uniquely suited to this due to its high monophenolase : diphenolase ratio. We combined in silico docking and in vivo kinetic characterisation of this tyrosinase with 11 industrially relevant monophenols,

Identification and characterisation of calcitonin receptor isoforms expressed in glioblastoma derived glioma stem and U‐87 MG cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Glioblastoma cells express calcitonin receptor variants (CT receptor isoforms) that may help them survive stress. Using qPCR, transcript‐specific long‐read nanopore sequencing, immunofluorescence co‐localisation and comparative sequence analysis, this study identifies a novel alternatively spliced CALCR transcript that encodes the CTb receptor isoform ...
