Pseudotyped Virus for Flaviviridae
2023Members of Flaviviridae are enveloped single positive-stranded RNA viruses including hepacivirus, pestivirus, pegivirus, and mosquito-transmitted flavivirus, which are important pathogens of infectious diseases and pose serious threats to human health.

The family of the Flaviviridae contains 3 genera: (i) the hepaciviruses, to which belongs Hepatitis C virus (HCV), (ii) the flaviviruses and (iii) the pestiviruses. Over 140 million people, more than four times the number of HIV-positive individuals, are chronically infected with the HCV.

The hepatic flaviviridae: summary
Journal of Viral Hepatitis, 1999Hepatitis C envelope proteins (E1, E2) induce protective neutralizing antibodies. The extent of sequence diversity reflects the host's ability to control viral populations and the response to antiviral therapy. Attempts to prepare effective vaccines against HCV are foiled by lack of prolonged protective immunity.

Flaviviridae polymerase and RNA replication
Journal of Viral Hepatitis, 1999Sequence motifs within the non‐structural protein NS5 or NS5B of the members of the family Flaviviridae suggest that this protein is the RNA‐dependent RNA polymerase. This protein has now been expressed in various in vitro systems and used in polymerase assays.

Replicative/transcription enzymes of Flaviviridae.
Virologie (Montrouge, France), 2013The family Flaviviridae comprises several major human pathogens including Hepatitis C virus (genus hepacivirus), yellow fever virus or dengue virus (genus flavivirus). The Flaviviridae genomes are made of a single stranded RNA segment that encodes seven non-structural proteins : NS1, NS2A, NS2B, NS3, NS4A, NS4B and NS5 in the flaviviruses like dengue ...

Taxonomy of the virus family Flaviviridae
2003Publisher Summary By 1960 it was recognized that eastern equine encephalitis, western equine encephalitis, and certain other arboviruses were related to each other. These were categorized as “Group A arboviruses”, now known as the genus Alphavirus of the family Togaviridae.
