The flavonoids of Allium ursinum

Phytochemistry, 1996
From wild garlic Allium ursinum three new flavonoid glycosides were identified as kaempferol 3-O-beta-neohesperidoside-7-O-[2-O-(trans-p-coumaroyl)]-beta -D- glucopyranoside, kaempferol 3-O-beta-neohesperidoside-7-O-[2-O-(trans-feruloyl)]-beta-D- glucopyranoside, kaempferol 3-O-beta-neohesperidoside-7-O-[2-O-(trans-p-coumaroyl)-3-O-b eta-D ...

The flavonoids of Allium neapolitanum

Phytochemistry, 1997
An investigation of the extracts from Allium neapolitanum has led to the isolation of 13 flavonoid glycosides, based on kaempferol, quercetin and isorhamnetin. Four of them are new compounds and have been identified as: kaempferol 3-O-[[2-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-4-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl]-beta-D- glucopyranoside]], isorhamnetin 3-O-[[2-O-alpha-L ...

Antioxidant activity, phenol and flavonoid contents of some selected Iranian medicinal plants

, 2006
In present study, we carried out a systematic record of the relative antioxidant activity in selected Iranian medicinal plant species' extracts. The total phenol varied from 24.1 ± 1 to 289.5 ± 5 mg g -1 in the extracts.

Flavonoide, XXXII. Oxidative Umwandlungen schwefelhaltiger Flavonoide

Properties and applications of flavonoid metal complexes

, 2015
Flavonoids are widely occurring polyphenol compounds of plant origin with multiple biological and chemical activities. Due to the presence of carbonyl and hydroxyl groups they can coordinate metal ions and form complexes.

Antioxidative Properties of Flavonoids

Current Organic Chemistry, 2011
Evidence accumulates that a family of plant compounds, known as flavonoids, can prevent or slow down the progression of cardiovascular diseases, cancer, inflammatory and neurodegenerative diseases. Flavonoids are considered beneficial, this is often attributed to their powerful antioxidant properties.

Flavonoids

1988
Publisher Summary Tissue cultures have become increasingly important as they provide information on flavonoid biosynthesis and regulation of the corresponding pathways. The chapter discusses these two aspects. The large number of flavonoids is conveniently divided into 12 classes.
