The Aligned two-Higgs Doublet model [PDF]
In the two-Higgs-Doublet model the alignment of the Yukawa flavour matrices of the two scalar doublets guarantees the absence of tree-level flavour-changing neutral couplings.

Multiple realizations of modular flavor symmetries and their phenomenology
We point out that specifying the finite modular group does not uniquely fix a modular flavor symmetry. We illustrate this using the finite modular group T′. Otherwise equivalent models based on different T′ lead to modular forms with different properties

Neutrino Mixings and the S4 Discrete Flavour Symmetry
Discrete non-Abelian Symmetries have been extensively used to reproduce the lepton mixings. In particular, the S4 group turned out to be suitable to describe predictive mixing patterns, such as the well-known Tri-Bimaximal and the Bimaximal schemes ...

Photonic time crystals (PTCs) are systems in which electromagnetic parameters are modulated periodically in time, producing momentum bandgaps via temporal scattering rather than spatial Bragg processes. This review examines the theoretical frameworks, modeling, and computational tools for time‐varying media, and summarizes experimental demonstrations ...

Flavor symmetries from modular subgroups in magnetized compactifications
We study the flavor structures of zero-modes, which are originated from the modular symmetry on T 1 2 × T 2 2 $$ {T}_1^2\times {T}_2^2 $$ and its orbifold with magnetic fluxes. We introduce the constraint on the moduli parameters by τ 2 = Nτ 1, where τ i

The mathematical structure of U-spin amplitude sum rules
We perform a systematic study of SU(2) flavor amplitude sum rules with particular emphasis on U-spin. This study reveals a rich mathematical structure underlying the sum rules that allows us to formulate an algorithm for deriving all U-spin amplitude sum

Chiral gauged fermions on a lattice [PDF]
The chiral fermion model with local multifermion interactions proposed in Nucl. Phys. B486 (1997) 282 and Phys. Rev. D61 (2000) 054502 processes an exact SU_L(2) chiral gauge symmetry and SU_L(2) by U_R(1) chiral flavour symmetry on a lattice and a ...

This study is pioneering in constructing the shortest known synthetic pathway for L‐theanine production from xylose within E coli. Through comprehensive metabolic engineering strategies, our engineered strain achieved the highest reported L‐theanine titer from xylose, with a titer of 95.42 g/L, and a yield of 0.55 g/g.

Fermion masses, critical behavior and universality
We look for signals of critical behavior in the Yukawa sector. By reviewing a set of models for the fermion masses, we select those where a symmetry-breaking order parameter sits at a transition point between a disordered phase and an ordered one.
