Towards Testable Theories with Discrete Flavour Symmetries
The leptonic mixing matrix may be understood as a consequence of remnant symmetries of the mass matrices, which emerge from the spontaneous breakdown of a larger symmetry into smaller non-commuting subgroups. The mixing patterns that may be obtained from

Yukawa textures from non-invertible symmetries
Phenomenological aspects of non-invertible symmetries, in particular the flavor structure of quarks and leptons, are studied. We start with a ℤ M discrete symmetry and gauge ℤ2 so as to obtain a non-invertible symmetry. We study which Yukawa textures can

Evolution of Physical Intelligence Across Scales
By following the evolution of physical intelligence across scales, this article shows how intelligence arises from materials, structures, physical interactions, and collectives. It establishes physical intelligence as the evolutionary foundation upon which embodied intelligence is built.

Predictions from a flavour GUT model combined with a SUSY breaking sector
We discuss how flavour GUT models in the context of supergravity can be completed with a simple SUSY breaking sector, such that the flavour-dependent (non-universal) soft breaking terms can be calculated.

A machine learning method, opt‐GPRNN, is presented that combines the advantages of neural networks and kernel regressions. It is based on additive GPR in optimized redundant coordinates and allows building a representation of the target with a small number of terms while avoiding overfitting when the number of terms is larger than optimal.

More about quark Yukawa textures from selection rules without group actions
We study the coupling selection rules associated with non-group symmetries, i.e., ℤ2 gauging of ℤ M symmetries. We clarify which Yukawa textures can be derived by our selection rules for M = 3, 4, and 5, and obtain various textures including the nearest ...

Four decades of retinal vessel segmentation research (1982–2025) are synthesized, spanning classical image processing, machine learning, and deep learning paradigms. A meta‐analysis of 428 studies establishes a unified taxonomy and highlights performance trends, generalization capabilities, and clinical relevance.

Non-minimally flavour violating dark matter
Flavour symmetries provide an appealing mechanism to stabilize the dark matter particle. I present a simple model of quark flavoured dark matter that goes beyond the framework of minimal flavour violation.

Discrete Flavour Groups, \theta_13 and Lepton Flavour Violation [PDF]
Discrete flavour groups have been studied in connection with special patterns of neutrino mixing suggested by the data, such as Tri-Bimaximal mixing (groups A4, S4...) or Bi-Maximal mixing (group S4...) etc.

Anatomy of non-leptonic two-body decays of charmed mesons into final states with η′
We show that D → Pη′ decay amplitudes, where P = K, π, η, cannot be simply related to their D → Pη counterparts with a single η 0–η 8 mixing angle. We propose a novel, consistent treatment of η 0–η 8 mixing for application in D → Pη and D → Pη′ decays ...
