Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...

Acoustic Journal Bearing With Changeable Geometry and Built-in Flexibility [PDF]
The influence of embodiment flexibility on the performance of an acoustic journal bearing is presented. Two completely different embodiments of the bearing were investigated using three criteria of performance assessment that is torque at the start-up, amount of separation due to squeeze film pressure, and motion stability of the shaft running at speed.

Mycobacterial 3‐methylcrotonyl‐CoA carboxylase uses a mobile biotin‐carrying domain to shuttle a carboxyl group between two catalytic sites, enabling carboxylation of 3‐methylcrotonyl‐CoA during leucine breakdown. Cryo‐electron microscopy captures the carrier at both sites and reveals an inward loop movement that may prevent futile rebinding to the ...

Including the Effects of Flexible Bearing Supportsin Rotating Machinery [PDF]
Unbalance response and stability analyses of a flexible rotor on three lobe journal bearings on flexible supports are presented. The influence of the support structure was included in the analyses using polynomial transfer functions. These transfer functions were extracted from measured dynamic compliance data of the support structure, measured at the ...

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Influence of the aircraft bearing surface flexibility on its bearing properties
The research is devoted to determining the influence of flexural strain on its basic aerodynamic characteristics: the maximum value of aerodynamic perfection, characteristics of longitudinal stability and bearing properties depended on the angle of the wing, the applied profiles type, the deviation of the wing rear edge. The peculiarities of the aerial ...
