Dynamic response of axle box bearing for high-speed train considering wheelset flexibility and polygonal wear

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
In this study, a flexible wheelset was added to a rigid-flexible coupled vehicle dynamics model, in which the axle box bearings are accurately modeled. The measured wheel’s polygon wear profile and Wuhan-Guangzhou track spectrum are used in the model to ...

Static Characteristics of Flexible Pad Bearing.

open access: yesTRANSACTIONS OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Series C, 1995
A flexible pad bearing was developed as a highly stable bearing. This bearing has a monolithic construction with a pad and a web which supports the pad. Therefore, manufacturing the bearing is easy, and the flexible pad bearing is superior in durability.

Structural studies and functional engineering of NanX: an anhydro‐sialic acid transporter from Escherichia coli

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Biophysical characterisation shows that NanX, a membrane transport protein from the major facilitator superfamily (MFS), forms both monomers and dimers after purification. AlphaFold modelling and substrate docking provide information on residues likely involved in substrate recognition for NanX and another MFS member, NanT.

Research on Flexibility of Bearing Rings for Multibody Contact Dynamics of Rolling Bearings

open access: yesProcedia Engineering, 2012
AbstractThe flexibility of bearing rings is very important to calculate the characteristics of rolling bearings in some rolling bearing applications such as planetary gear, rolling mill and aircraft. It may cause significant changes in dynamics characteristics, bearing deflections, contact stresses, and fatigue endurance, especially under heavy applied

Using cell‐free RNA to identify B‐ and T‐cell clonality for diagnosis and monitoring of B‐ and T‐cell neoplasms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Using peripheral blood for determining B‐cell or T‐cell clonality is more reliable when we use cell‐free RNA (cfRNA) because cells release blood significantly more RNA than DNA. Next‐generation sequencing (NGS) of cfRNA allows us to evaluate fragment cfRNA and evaluate clonality reliably without the need for prior determination of the specific dominant

Early Clinical, Imaging, and Pathological Characteristics of SRPK3/TTN‐Digenic Myopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy was recently established as a skeletal muscle myopathy caused by digenic inheritance. This study characterizes the early clinical presentation of SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy in one previously reported and seven newly identified pediatric patients.

Factors Associated With the Rising Trend in Self‐Reported Cognitive Disability Among U.S. Adults Aged 18–39 From 2013–2024

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Building on our prior Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System analysis identifying adults aged 18–39 as the primary driver of the national increase in self‐reported cognitive disability, we examined factors associated with this rise using 2013–2024 U.S. BRFSS data. Methods We analyzed U.S.
