Schematic showing a stretchable triboelectric nanogenerator based on interlocked wavy architectures that uses EGaIn microflower‐embedded PVDF‐TrFE and Nylon‐6 nanofiber membranes. The multi‐petaled, electron‐rich EGaIn microflowers enhance interfacial polarization and capacitance, while the interlocked wavy architecture enlarges the effective contact ...

Evolution and development of complex floral displays
ABSTRACT Flowering plants – angiosperms – display an astounding diversity of floral features, which have evolved in response to animal pollination and have resulted in the most species-rich plant clade. Combinations of macroscale (e.g. colour, symmetry, organ number) and microscale (e.g.

Auto‐Downregulation of the Florigen FT Production Prevents Precocious Flowering in Plants
This study shows that the leaf vein‐expressed FD complexes with the florigen FT to bind DNA motifs in FT promoter, which antagonizes CONSTANS‐mediated FT activation to feedback down‐regulate FT expression. This prevents an excessive induction of FT expression by inductive photoperiods, thereby precluding precocious transition to flowering in ...

L‐cysteine‐configured chiral polyurethane nanoparticles suppress ocular inflammation and reduce extracellular matrix (ECM) degradation in ectopia lentis by regulating macrophages polarization and inhibiting nuclear factor kappa B signaling pathway. By promoting zonular fiber‐associated protein restoration and tissue repair, this minimally invasive ...

Floral symptoms caused by phytoplasma largely resemble floral reversion in other plants. Periwinkle leaf yellowing (PLY) phytoplasma and peanut witches'-broom (PnWB) phytoplasma caused different degrees of floral abnormalities on infected periwinkle ...

ARC3 levels are controlled by cytosolic and chloroplast proteolytic systems. PUB52 mediates ARC3 precursor ubiquitination and degradation in the cytosol, while CLPC1 promotes ARC3 degradation in chloroplasts, where ARC2 protects ARC3 from excessive breakdown. Disrupting these components causes chloroplast division defects, placing them upstream of ARC3.

Regulation of Floral Stem Cell Termination in Arabidopsis
In Arabidopsis, floral stem cells are maintained only at the initial stages of flower development, and they are terminated at a specific time to ensure proper development of the reproductive organs.

SERS Facemask for Rapid and Portable Sensing Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Antigens for TB Screening
Our study introduced an Au─Ag embedded covalent organic framework (U@COF) ‐mediated facemask for sensing TB antigen ESAT‐6/CFP‐10 complex in clinical droplet samples toward TB screening. Practical analysis of clinical samples demonstrated the availability of our facemask, which is capable of identifying the TB subjects (N = 17) from healthy candidates (

An AP2-Family Gene Correlates with the Double-Flower Trait in Petunia × hybrida
The double-flower trait is highly valued in ornamental plants due to its unique aesthetic appeal, yet its genetic basis varies significantly across different species. While AGAMOUS (AG) and APETALA2 (AP2)-like genes have been demonstrated to play crucial
