Multiferroic‐Centric Materials and Systems Engineering for Battery Applications: An Insight Into Mechanisms, Strategies, and Characterizations

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multiferroic order parameters – polarization, magnetization, and ferroelastic strain – are positioned as dynamic design variables for batteries. Their mechanistic roles, practical tuning through fabrication and external fields, and ferroic‐resolved characterization routes are unified into a closed‐loop framework, revealing how coupled ferroic responses

Floral Volatile Organic Compounds of Mitchella repens (Rubiaceae)

open access: yesPlant-Environment Interactions
ABSTRACTMitchella repens (partridgeberry; family Rubiaceae) is a creeping, understory plant native to eastern North America. The twinned, tubular flowers of this distylous plant are bright white and produce volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Partridgeberry has intermorph incompatibility and thus requires pollinators to move pollen from one morph to the

Volatile Floral Chemistry of Heliotropium arborescens L. 'Marine' [PDF]

open access: yesHortScience, 2005
Selection emphasis on cyme size and flower color of Heliotropium arborescens L. has led to cultivars with diminished floral fragrance. As a preliminary inquiry into the fragrance chemistry of the species, we identified 41 volatile compounds emanating from the flowers of 'Marine' via isolation

High‐Efficiency Precipitate Recycling Strategy Paves the Way for Efficient Sb2S3 Solar Cells Fabricated by CBD Method

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel PR strategy was proposed to improve CBD‐derived Sb2S3 film quality. It synergistically optimized the CBO of CdS/Sb2S3 interface and the back‐contact barrier, while the VS2 donor defect was converted into SSb2 acceptor defect with lower concentration.

Lightweight, Elastic Ceramic Fabrics for Broadband Electromagnetic Absorption and High Temperature Thermal Insulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reports lightweight, elastic ceramic fabrics with broadband electromagnetic absorption (EAB = 9.8 GHz) and high‐temperature thermal insulation, enabled by precise microstructural control during ultrafast high‐temperature sintering (UHS), which induces the precipitation of defect‐rich t‐ZrO2 nanograins and turbostratic C nanoclusters.
