Sparganosis in Florida

The fifth case of sparganosis in Florida is described. The life cycle of these tapeworms is presented and a brief description of the proliferating type is given. Attention is called to the importance of spargana and larval nematodes in the differential diagnosis of subcutaneous swellings in patients in Florida.
