PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Chewing gum and impasse-induced self-reported stress [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
An insoluble anagram task (Zellner et al., 2006) was used to investigate the proposition that chewing gum reduces self-rated stress (Scholey et al., 2009).

Forces prediction in micro-grinding single-crystal copper considering the crystallographic orientation

open access: yesManufacturing Review, 2018
In the micro-grinding of single-crystal copper, the effect of crystallography becomes significant as the wheel works intra-crystalline. To quantify the effect of crystallographic orientation (CO) related to the cutting direction on the micro-grinding ...

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Study on constitutive models of hot deformation for 34CrNi3MoV steel

open access: yesMetalurgija, 2023
Isothermal constant strain rate compression experiments were conducted on 34CrNi3MoV steel using a thermal simulation experimental machine to study its thermal deformation behavior, with deformation temperatures ranging from 800 - 1 200 °C and strain ...
