Selenium enrichment pattern in flowering Chinese cabbage, cabbage and asparagus

open access: yes, 2006
CONCLUSIONS - Within a certain range, selenium accumulation in three studied vegetables was lineally correlated with spraying concentration. However, a too high concentration caused the reduction of vegetable output and damage in quality. - Twice spraying with lower concentration of selenium was a better option to improve selenium enrichment efficiency.

Hydrogen sulfide promotes flowering in heading Chinese cabbage by S-sulfhydration of BraFLCs [PDF]

open access: yesHorticulture Research, 2021
AbstractHeading Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapaL. syn.B.campestrisL. ssp.chinensisMakino var.pekinensis(Rupr.) J. Cao et Sh. Cao) is a cruciferousBrassicavegetable that has a triplicate genome, owing to an ancient genome duplication event. It is unclear whether the duplicated homologs have conserved or diversified functions.

Crosstalk between auxin and gibberellin during stalk elongation in flowering Chinese cabbage [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
AbstractPlant growth and development are tightly regulated by phytohormones. However, little is known about the interaction between auxin and gibberellin acid (GA) during flower stalk elongation and how it is directly related to organ formation. Therefore, the effects of indole acetic acid (IAA) and GA3 treatments and their interaction on flower stalk ...
