Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Medium Range Order in High Aluminum Content Amorphous Alloys Measured by Fluctuation Electron Microscopy

open access: yes, 2007
High Al-content metallic amorphous alloys have an unusual devitrification behavior. Upon annealing, alloys made by a rapid quench develop a high density (>1021 m-3) of pure Al nanocrystals.

Fluctuation theory of irreversible processes

open access: yes, 2014
LANGEVIN equations of the type dn× (t)/dtn+...+c × (t)=K (t) constitute the starting point of a phenomenological fluctuation theory of irreversible processes.

Proton momentum distributions and elastic electron scattering form factors for some Ge isotopes

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Physics, 2019
The proton momentum distributions (PMD) and the elastic electron scattering form factors F(q) of the ground state for some even mass nuclei in the 2p-1f shell for 70Ge, 72Ge, 74Ge and 76Ge are calculated by using the Coherent Density Fluctuation Model ...

Probing eigenstate thermalization in quantum simulators via fluctuation-dissipation relations

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2020
The eigenstate thermalization hypothesis (ETH) offers a universal mechanism for the approach to equilibrium of closed quantum many-body systems. So far, however, experimental studies have focused on the relaxation dynamics of observables as described by ...

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Ballistic macroscopic fluctuation theory via mapping to point particles

open access: yesSciPost Physics
Ballistic Macroscopic Fluctuation Theory (BMFT) captures the evolution of fluctuations and correlations in systems where transport is strictly ballistic.

On the theory of electrical fluctuations [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series A. Mathematical and Physical Sciences, 1948
Abstract In a recent paper under this title Fürth (1948) has discussed the derivation and interpretation of Nyquist’s formula (Nyquist 1928), and presented a theory proposing to treat the fluctuations of electric current in a thermionic valve under all conditions of operation on a basis of thermodynamic equilibrium.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.
