Major and trace-element composition and pressure-temperature evolution of rock-buffered fluids in low-grade accretionary-wedge metasediments, Central Alps [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The chemical composition of fluid inclusions in quartz crystals from Alpine fissure veins was determined by combination of microthermometry, Raman spectroscopy, and LA-ICPMS analysis.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Fluid inclusion and C-H-O-S-Pb isotope characteristics and geological significance of lead-zinc-fluorite deposits in the Geleche area, Laifeng, Hubei Province

open access: yes地质科技通报
Objective Lead-zinc mineralization is widely distributed in southwestern Hubei Province, but no large deposits have been found thus far, and there is a lack of systematic studies on metallogenic systems.

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Differential enrichment process of shale gas in Cambrian Qiongzhusi Formation in middle section of Deyang-Anyue rift trough, Sichuan Basin: evidence from fracture veins and fluid inclusions

open access: yesShiyou shiyan dizhi
In recent years, shale gas exploration in the Cambrian Qiongzhusi Formation within the Deyang-Anyue rift trough of the Sichuan Basin has achieved significant breakthroughs, establishing it as a crucial succession area for unconventional hydrocarbon ...

Stable isotope studies on granulites from the high grade terrain of Southern India [PDF]

open access: yes
Fluid inclusion and petrologic characteristics of South India granulites and their bearing on the sources of metamorphic fluids are discussed. This paper served as a review and an introduction to the next paper by D. Jackson.

Transport coefficients at Metastable Densities from models of Generalized Hydrodynamics

open access: yes, 2001
In the present work we compute the enhancement in the long time transport coefficients due to correlated motion of fluid particles at high density. The fully wave vecor dependent extended mode coupling model is studied with the inclusion of an additional

A Review of Fluid Inclusion Constraints on Mineralization in the Irish Ore Field and Implications for the Genesis of Sediment-Hosted Zn-Pb Deposits

open access: yes, 2010
Many fluid inclusion studies have been carried out in the Irish Midlands basin ore field (Lower Carboniferous) since the earliest work by Ed Roedder in the late 1960s.

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by

Charged anisotropic matter with linear or nonlinear equation of state

open access: yes, 2010
Ivanov pointed out substantial analytical difficulties associated with self-gravitating, static, isotropic fluid spheres when pressure explicitly depends on matter density.
