Exploring tasty fluidics for designing food as computational artifact
International Journal of Gastronomy and Food Science, 2022Contemporary human-food interaction design is predominantly a technology-driven endeavor in which food has not been synergistically employed as a major design material. This article extends a recent approach to food-computation integration that uses food

We have determined the filling properties of nanogaps with chemically heterogeneous walls. The quantitative criteria we present allow the prediction of the liquid loading of the nanostructure. They can easily be applied in combination with contact-angle measurements on planar substrates of the nanogap materials.

Fluidics in an emptying bottle during breaking and making of interacting interfaces
The Physics of Fluids, 2020An experimental effort has been reported in the present study analyzing the fluidics during the emptying of a bottle. The viscosity of the containing liquid and the orientation of the bottle while emptying are varied to obtain different emptying modes ...

Advances in electrokinetics and their applications in micro/nano fluidics
Electrokinetic phenomena originally developed in colloid chemistry have drawn great attention in micro- and nano-fluidic lab-on-a-chip systems for manipulation of both liquids and particles.

AbstractThe primary function of the fluidics of a flow cytometer is to deliver cells to the sensing area in a single file well aligned with the detectors. In a sorting instrument, the fluidics must also be capable of physically isolating those cells selected on the basis of measurements made by the instrument.

Automated fluorimetric sensor for glutathione based on zone fluidics.
Spectrochimica Acta Part A - Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2019A zone-fluidics (ZF) based automated fluorimetric sensor for the determination of glutathione (GSH) is reported. Discrete zones of GSH and o-phthalaldehyde (OPA) mix and react on-line under mild basic pH without the need of additional nucleophillic ...
