Absolute quantification of fluorescent protein fusions by mass spectrometry
Abstract Fusions with fluorescent proteins (FPs) play a pivotal role in experimental biology because of their sensitive and spatially precise visualization by spectroscopy. However, observed fluorescence is not always proportional to their molar concentration.

An intrinsically disordered protein, Q20, forms transmembrane condensates with albumin‐loaded lipid and hybrid giant vesicles. Condensate insertion and membrane remodeling depend on giant vesicle size and membrane properties, inducing local lipid coupling without leakage and revealing a robust membrane‐condensate interplay.
