High‐Transmission Mid‐Infrared Bandpass Filters using Hybrid Metal‐Dielectric Metasurfaces for CO2 Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 8, March 13, 2025.
This article presents a hybrid metal‐dielectric metasurface in transmission mode for mid‐infrared (MIR) spectroscopy. Composed of germanium on aluminium cylinders atop a calcium fluoride substrate, the metasurface achieves 80% transmission efficiency at λ = 2.6 µm with a narrow full‐width‐half‐maximum of 0.4 µm.

In Situ Transformation of Electrum Nanoclusters Embedded in Polymer Matrices Exhibit Near‐Infrared Emission With Quantum Yield Exceeding 70%

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
The AuAgNCs@OSTE nanocomposite, fabricated using off‐stoichiometric thiol‐ene polymerization, incorporates Au23‐xAgx(SAdm)15 nanoclusters and OSTE monomer. After UV curing, it reaches a maximum PLQY of 73% at 740 nm after 20 h of UV curing. After 72 h UV curing, PLQY reaches 60% at 850 nm, with minimal reabsorption losses due to the higher Stokes shift.

Direct Growth of Rectangular 2D Layered Metal‐Halide Perovskite Microcrystal Photonic Cavities on Functional Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A simple and scalable method to fabricate 2D layered metal halide microcrystals with rectangular shape, extremely flat surfaces, and submicron thickness is presented. The growth occurs in evaporating droplets on planar substrates, which enables the fabrication of the microcrystals directly on functional surfaces. The microcrystals demonstrate excellent
