Spatiotemporally Controlled Sequential Chemo‐Immunotherapy Activates Pyroptosis for Robust Anti‐Tumor Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A glutathione and ultrasound dual‐responsive cerasome achieves sequential co‐delivery of gemcitabine and BMS1166 in tumors. Chemotherapy priming followed by on‐demand PD‐L1 blockade synergistically amplifies anti‐tumor immunity, inhibiting primary tumor growth, distant metastasis and inducing durable immune memory.

Chromosomal differentiation among bisexual European species of Saga (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae: Saginae) detected by both classical and molecular methods

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Entomology, 2009
We report the karyotype characteristics including chromosome numbers of Saga campbelli campbelli, S. c. gracilis, and S. rammei using the following classical cytogenetic methods: C-banding, silver staining, and fluorochrome staining DAPI and CMA3.

Magnetically Guided Macrophage Immunobots Coordinate Iron‐Metabolic Cascades and Immunogenic Ferroptosis for Tumor Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Magnetically guided macrophage immunobots integrate active tumor targeting with immunometabolic therapy. After systemic administration, magnetic actuation enhances immunobot retention and tumor penetration, while LPS‐functionalized FePt microrollers sustain M1‐like polarization through inflammatory and iron‐amplified oxidative signaling and trigger ...

Do myelomatous plasma cells really express surface immunoglobulins?

open access: yesHaematologica, 1996
Surface immunoglobulins (sIg) are traditionally considered to be absent in plasma cells (PC). However, it has recently been reported that up to one third of myeloma patients are positive for surface immunoglobulins. Nevertheless, this observation has not

SIMPLE AND RAPID STAINING FOR DETECTION OF ENTAMOEBA CYSTS AND OTHER PROTOZOANS WITH FLUOROCHROMES

open access: yesJapanese Journal of Medical Science and Biology, 1987
Three fluorochromes were applied to stain various parasitic protozoans. By double staining with 4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole and propidium iodide, differentiation of the nuclei from the cytoplasm can easily be achieved within several seconds. The chromatoid bodies in Entamoeba cysts were stained bright red.

A Tumor‐Boundary Niche Enriched for PD‐1+CD8+T Cells and BTLA+B Cells Drives Resistance to Immunotherapy in NSCLC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A spatial niche composed of BTLA+B cells and CD8+T cells is enriched at the tumor boundary in non‐small cell lung cancer. Within this specialized niche, BTLA+B cells act as a dominant source of IL‐6, upregulating PD‐1 on CD8+T cells via STAT3 signaling.

Cytogenetic studies in six species of Scinax (Anura, Hylidae) clade Scinax ruber from northern and northeastern Brazil

open access: yesGenetics and Molecular Biology, 2015
Scinax species are still underrepresented in cytogenetic studies, mainly with respect to populations from northeastern and northern Brazil. In this study, we provide new chromosomal information on Scinax boesemani, S. camposseabrai, S.

High‐Density Type I Collagen Promotes IFN‐γ+ CD8+ T Cell Exhaustion via SAT1‐ASS1‐Mediated Glutamine Accumulation and Ferroptosis in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
High‐density type I collagen promotes glutamine (Gln) accumulation–related ferroptosis of TNBC cells via the spermidine/spermine N1‐acetyltransferase 1 (SAT1)‐ argininosuccinate synthase (ASS1) signaling pathway, thus depriving immune cells of Gln supply and inducing IFN‐γ+ CD8+ T cell exhaustion in the TME.

Enhanced detection of bacteria in natural environments by fluorochrome staining of DNA1 [PDF]

open access: yesLimnology and Oceanography, 1980
The DNA‐staining fluorochromes 4′6‐diamidino‐2‐phenylindole (DAPI) and mithramycin, when used in conjunction with epi‐illumination fluorescence microscopy, readily reveal the presence of bacteria, thus simplifying the detection of bacterial contaminants in allegedly axenic laboratory cultures of eucaryote cells.

Platycodon grandiflorus–Derived Nanovesicles Sensitize Gastric Cancer to T Cell Killing via Ferroptosis‐Driven Membrane Mechanical Remodeling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Plant‐derived nanovesicles from Platycodon grandiflorus act as bioactive lipid delivery platforms that transport γ‐linolenic acid into gastric cancer cells. This lipid cargo promotes ferroptotic lipid peroxidation, remodels membrane mechanics, and increases tumor‐cell susceptibility to cytotoxic T‐cell attack.
